Rough And Decorative Rock

   Below is a list of our available rough rock.   In any order we will select the best pieces available for you at the time of the order.   Unless noted, our pictures are representative of the material on hand.

Rose Quartz

• This is Black Hills Rose Quartz; due to the way it is mined it will contain some fractures.  The photo to the left is a good representative picture of the pieces.
   

• An iron mineral staining occurs naturally in the mine.  Even though this quartz is cleaned to remove this stain some pieces will have traces of this iron mineral.
   

• For size reference, each piece weighs 1 to 1.5 of a pound.
   

• In any 5, 10  or 25 pound order, we will select an assortment of small to larger fist size pieces for you.

Green Aventurine

• This is from Brazil in a dark Green color and is excellent for cutting, tumbling, aquariums, or just for display.
   
• For size reference a fist size piece will weigh approximately 1 pound.

Arizona Petrified Wood

• This is from very nice, above average quality Petrified wood from Arizona.  It will work great for cutting, tumbling, aquariums, or just for display.

Serape Jasper

• This is very nice, above average quality Serape Jasper from Mexico.  It will work great for cutting, tumbling, aquariums, or just for display.

Apatite

• This is very nice, above average quality Apatite from Madagascar.  It will work for tumbling, cabochons or as a nice rock specimen.

Green Quartzite

• This is light Green Quartzite.  It works great for rock gardens, decorative pieces, and aquariums.
   
• This material breaks with a cleavage.  In any 5 or 10 pound order, we will select an assortment of various sizes pieces to equal the weight.

Brazilian Agate

• These are all fist to double fist size Brazilian Agates.  They all have a natural Brown color.
   
• We ship them just as they come from the barrel.
   
• For size reference a fist size piece will weigh approximately 1 pound.

Mini Brazilian Agate

• These are all 1 1/2" to 3" Mini Brazilian Agates.  They all have a natural Brown color.
   
• We ship them just as they come from the barrel.
   
• There are approximately 3 Agates per 1 pound.

South Dakota Sandstone

• This is something different and unusual from the Black Hills of South Dakota.  This is sandstone with various excellent tan and brown colors and good design.  It works great for rock gardens, decorative pieces, and aquariums.
   
• We ship them just as they come from the barrel.
   
• For size reference a fist size piece will weigh approximately 1 pound.
   

• In any 5 or 10 pound order, we will select an assortment of various sizes pieces to equal the weight.

Prairie Agate

• This is natural beauty from the plains of South Dakota.
   
• It is great for decoration, cutting stones or tumbling.  The colors range from yellow to black to red.
   
• These pieces measure approximately 2 1/2" to 5" in size and come to you right out of the bin. 
   
• Sorry, there are NO choices in color or size.

Trancas Geodes

• These are  complete uncut Trancas Geodes from Mexico.  Each complete geode measures from about 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" in diameter and weighs approximately 3/4 of a pound.  The pictures linked below are representative of what treasure nature may have inside.
