This is a very nice polished End Cut from a Utah Septarian Nodule.
This beautiful large specimen has lots of Brown Aragonite with contrasting
Yellow Gold Calcite in a very nice design and an awesome crystal cavity.
It measures 7 1/2" x almost 6 7/8" x 2 3/4"; weighs nearly 6 3/4 pounds with
a nice polish on the face. Cut and Polished in the USA and very

a microcrystalline form of Silica as in Flint or Jasper, or an Iron Oxide
such as Hematite. These specimens are also known as a concretion which
is a type of sedimentary rock. Septarians were formed millions of years ago by sediment forming around
a fossil to create a mud ball transforming the fossil into Calcite and Aragonite.

Here is a larger, very beautiful Septarian
Heart. It has an exceptional crystal cavity that goes way deep
inside filled with very nice Yellow Calcite with excellent points and
pretty accents of Brown Aragonite. It measures 5 3/4" wide x
almost 4 1/2" x nearly 3 3/8" tall and weighs over 3 pounds. The entire heart has a very nice polish
except the flat cut bottom. A very nice display
piece for the Septarian collector or this fabulous Septarian

Marble is a metamorphic rock consisting of Limestone but composed mostly
of Calcite. It is used extensively for sculpture, building materials
and has many decorative uses. The pure white Marble is probably the
most common form known, but the characteristic swirls and veins of many colored
Marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as Clay,
Silt, Sand, Iron Oxides or Chert.
